The role: UX Program and Operations Manager, Google Pay - Singapore

UX Programs & Operations at Google drive projects within our UX organizations by increasing communication and connection points, streamlining the UX design process, and driving a culture of user centered development.<br><br>Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers: we care deeply about the people who use our products. The UX team plays an integral part in gathering insights about the attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of people who use our products to inspire and inform design. We collaborate closely with each other and with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them, and for Google’s businesses.<br><br>As a UX Program Manager (UX Programs & Operations), you will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the design of products that are used by billions of users. You’ll plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure projects meet deadlines. You’ll harmonize the work of UX Designers, Researchers, Content Strategists, UX Engineers, and other UX disciplines, while also working closely with our Engineering and Product Manager cross-functional partners, to drive UX team objectives and create innovative experiences for our business, products, and users.

Additional Role Description:

The Google Pay Consumer APAC team is split between Singapore, Shanghai and Bangalore. You are a passionate UX program and operations manager who can be a strategic thought partner and operational expert for 30+ cross-functional UXers.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize your deep understanding of the UX craft and product development methodologies to build and evolve programs that scale across teams and allow UXers to do their best work

- Enable collaboration, align strategic vision and ensure visibility and collaboration of our work globally

- Independently identify and triage issues (whether this be organizational, process, product issues) and drive them to closure

- Partner with UX leads and cross-functional Engineering organizations to innovate and drive planning, execution and release processes, including measuring their efficacy and ensuring product excellence

Minimum qualifications:

- 8 years of relevant experience.

- Program management experience within design or UX organizations. Worked with global stakeholders and led strategic initiatives.

- Experience with UX design, UX research, and/or user-centered development.

Preferred qualifications:

- Effectiveness in working across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work

- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills: the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization

- Ability to identify problems across organizations and create programs and processes to solve them.

- Working knowledge of project management software, spreadsheet software, presentation software.

- Enthusiasm for solving hard, ambiguous problems with limited supervision, is highly organized and seeks to fill gaps.
