Program Delivery Manager
Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, Program Delivery, the Program Delivery Manager is a key enabler in enabling a range of projects and program streams to deliver the target objectives by deploying professional and proactive project management / scrum master capabilities
Key Responsibilities
- Enable and implement deliverables within the program operational model in areas - business requirements discovery, solutioning, testing, retrospectives, improvements etc. including tools and templates and shared repositories of information for program & work stream team members
- Work with program and work stream members to ensure that there are relevant and prioritised issues and targeted improvement initiatives to enable achievement of objectives
- Develop and keep current program/work stream project plan, ensuring co-ordination of linked or dependant activities
- Facilitate progress updates from core and extended program team members
- Reach out to core & extended program team members to identify risks and issues and mitigation actions
- Proactively work with extended team to ensure that required deliverables and timeframes are being met and actions taken to prevent or minimise risks to those deliverables
- Provide analysis and recognise patterns in data to initiate improvements and solutions to existing and prescribed processes, products and systems.
- Work across organisational boundaries to deliver shared accountabilities
- Perform the role of a Scrum Master:
- Mentor and coach team members in Agile Framework
- Guide team to do Scrum activities (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Review and Retrospective)
- Implement processes, practices, and tools to allow for multiple paths of delivery e.g. create simplified, consistent, reusable, efficient and flexible methodologies
- Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it
- Resolve conflicts and remove impediments that occur
- Inspire others to adopt the new processes and improvements based on sprint retrospectives
Key Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information or Infocom Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering or related discipline
- 5-10 years relevant working experience
- Scrum Master certification e.g. CSM / A-CSM / ICP-ACC Certification is an advantage
- Strong project management skills with firm grasp of system development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies and management capabilities
- Experience in a Scrum Master role with excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
- Understanding of technical aspects of system integration in technology environment is an advantage
- Strong analytical and (complex) problem solving skills
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence across organisation boundaries
- Ability to obtain or generate key data inputs or KPI’s for the projects and turn into actionable insights that has business relevance
- Self-starter, pro-active and highly motivated quick learner
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership and team building skills
