- Responsible for day to day operations activities in relation to the shift and process requirements
- Monitor shipment flow and processing through internal proprietary systems, take proactive actions to ensure service delivery
- Ensure operational practices and procedures are adhered to and carried out effectively
- Responsible for day to day operations activities in relation to the shift and process requirements and this covers pickup and delivery, warehouse terminal handling, mobile service points and any other associated operational activities.
- Monitor shipment flow and processing through internal proprietary systems, take proactive actions to ensure service delivery.
- Ensure operational practices and procedures are adhered to and carried out effectively.
- Supervise, motivate and engage your respective team members to deliver operations excellence through quality performance and continuous improvement.
- Regular and timely information to be shared to respective team members on in mass briefings, advising on any change in process and ensuring compliance.
- Enforce grooming standards in accordance with company’s guidelines and ensure that staff maintains a professional image to both internal and external customers.
- Ensure maintenance requirements of facility, vehicles, equipment and infrastructure, are carried out in accordance with regional guidelines and company's branding requirements.
- Advocate the importance of workplace safety, encouraging safe work practices and environment.
- Understand and observe ISO, GSOP and Operation process requirements and participate in relevant audits and improvement initiatives.
- Assist supervisor to ensure effective and proactive manpower planning required to deliver on operations deliverables.
- Participate in all project initiatives to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies.
- Ensure that couriers attend to customers' need at all times in a professional manner through regular check ride in accordance to GSOP requirements.
- Ensure that shipments are delivered in accordance to processes and Right Day Delivery control tables, meeting delivery expectations.
- To evaluate between the use of contractor or internal resource by looking into shipment information alert available balancing customer need and cost.
- Ensure accurate sorting and optimum loading of all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Regularly review operations flow in warehouse, ensuring proper maintenance, 5S and safety requirements are fulfilled.
- Ensure that all mobile service vehicle locations are safe and secure for both staff and shipment
- Regular checks at the MSV locations to ensure that shipments are processed in accordance to operational and security requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum GCE 'N' or 'O' education level
- Minimum 3 - 5 years relevant warehouse or express logistics experience
- Experience in operation systems and processes
- Possess of Forklift and Class 3 driving license for Terminal Handling and Pickup and Delivery / MSV roles respectively
