Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead the planning, support and execution of Service Logistics customer's migration strategy onto inhouse system for all new and existing customers; including managing the capacity planning and tools (migration factory) to maximize resource utilization for customer on-boarding
  • Drive customer engagements to align customer processes and requirements against DHL standards and propose solutions to be validated with customers
  • Manage the budget, scope and timelines for every single project
  • Negotiate project implementation costing and manage project implementation costs tracking and allocation of costs to business owners.
  • Provide regular updates on project implementation progress to senior management and sponsors to enable overall project progress monitoring.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication to relevant stakeholders

Business Process Optimization and Process Improvement

  • Support Business Development (BD) during the sales to delivery process by actively participating in the solution design phase 
  • Conduct fit-analysis on customer requirements against the OSM 
  • Facilitate solution design workshops to support the BD teams for new RFQ’s 
  • Help customer teams improve customer retention through deployment of best practices and innovations which improve service and EBIT 
  • Identify & drive innovations / new practices to stimulate growth 
  • Work with customer's teams to identify and deliver process improvement projects 
  • Ensure all functions (involved in selling, implementing and managing operations) follow and maintain standard practices 
  • Ensure consistent practices are defined and and aligned globally                          

Change Management

  • Ensure consistent practices are rolled out across the entire Service Logistics network (warehousing, transport, call centers) as part of the Best In Class (BIC) program 
  • Raise non standards and manage change request that may come up during the implementation life cycle


Requirements

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following experience and competencies: 

  • Solid experience in managing and delivering regional projects   
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of supply chain management   
  • Experience in large multi-country organizations and matrix management     
  • Customer oriented and has excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills                                  
  • Strong project management skills and good financial knowledge
  • Ability to work under stress and with tight deadlines
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated the ability to execute change management
  • Operations research skills such as scheduling and network modeling.
  • Good analytical skills and relate large quantities of data 
  • Ability to work close together with other functional disciplines
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a 
  • Willingness to travel
  • Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or related discipline
