About the job
As a Service Administrator, you will be expected to ensure the efficient operation of the Service Department by providing immaculate administrative support and oversee the seamless execution of service jobs. Your job responsibilities would include general administrative duties such as maintaining an effective filing system and contributing to the monthly update of the Customer Satisfaction Report, Service Engineer Support, such as managing and maintaining Service Engineers’ personal records, ensuring the possession of valid relevant certifications to carry out Service jobs as well as maintaining and updating records of Service Engineers utilization rate. Additionally, you will be required to create order acknowledgment and purchase orders in SAP, generate service job costing based on related overtime sheets, support the service coordinator administratively to ensure prompt monthly closing of service jobs and coordinate travel arrangements for service engineers when necessary.
About the manager/team
This position sits within the Service Department and reports directly to the Service Manager. You will be working closely with the service coordinator and service engineers in the management of service accounts.
Skills and experience required
The incumbent should come with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the Maritime/Heavy Machinery industry and possess knowledge in using the SAP system. To succeed in this role, you must be highly organised and possess high levels of administrative capabilities to coordinate multiple stakeholders, drive initiatives and enhance efficiency of internal business processes. It is essential that you have great interpersonal and communication skills with a strong command of written and spoken English. The ideal candidate should also be meticulous, resourceful and able to work well both in a team and independently.
