THE SEARCH: FINANCE & CORPORATE SERVICES DIRECTOR

We are looking for an experienced Finance professional who can provide oversight and guidance to our portfolio of fast-growing client companies, strategic leadership to a team of finance and corporate secretary professionals and build on an already stellar brand reputation where growth is fueled by referrals. The ideal candidate must possess a passion for process, structure and a keen eye for detail. Reporting directly to the CEO this candidate will lead an existing team, and this role will demand a solutions-oriented individual who is looking for an

opportunity to grow professionally and to play an instrumental role in the development of a business. In addition to day-to-day account support to a select group of clients and management of the team, this individual will be responsible for securing new business through our existing referral base as well as helping to set the strategic direction for the business long term. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who can work closely with the CEO to mentor and grow their team, as well as assist with business operations and business growth. They must truly enjoy being in a service provider and advisory role to clients.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement and monitor financial systems and controls
  • Manage key client relationships and serve as both a player and coach to the internal finance team
  • Own the business development lifecycle; lead meetings, quote new customers, and close
  • Act as an advisor to clients and provide analysis and forecasts
  • Advise and assist with cashflow management planning for client partners
  • Refine, oversee, and manage new client onboarding
  • Ensure client service delivery is running smoothly
  • Financial oversight and mentoring for founders and business leaders across clients
  • A keen understanding of IFRS and Singapore tax regulations, and business structuring
  • Support our Corporate Secretary function, which is the fastest growing division in the business
  • Maintain an understanding of key MoM regulations and guidelines

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Accountable and adopts a ‘business-owner’ mentality
  • Enjoys business development and is KPI driven
  • Has excellent communication skills and can engage with a diversity of people
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proven track record of good financial ‘housekeeping’
  • Is a strategic thinker that wants to support the growth and help set the direction of the business
  • Excellent team leader that builds culture and morale amongst the team
  • Highly process and solutions-oriented
  • Interest or experience in Family office set-up, venture capital, and / or start-up companies


KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis, cash flow planning, and forecasting
  • Degree in Accountancy or related field
  • ACCA or equivalent qualifications
  • Identify initiatives to help clients improve their financial and operational processes in areas such as chart

of accounts, financial closing, and consolidation

  • Solid knowledge of corporate law
  • At least eight years of working experience in an accounting firm or in-house finance role
  • Proven track record of leadership and growth of a business
  • Demonstrated record of successfully leading a high performing team
