Job Description

External Relations

  • Monitor and analyze key stakeholders' development and highlight potential changes that may affect company's businesses on a timely basis.
  • Build and maintain relations with stakeholders such as the government authorities and government-linked entities, thinktanks, etc.
  • Uncover potential issues early as necessary and escalate appropriately for risk mitigation through interactions with stakeholders.
  • Gather and prepare reports on the latest government-led developments in areas that may have impact to company's businesses, including but not limited to e-Government, Smart city, Smart nation, etc.
  • Gather and prepare reports on macroeconomic and political developments in ASEAN with specific focus on developments which may impact company's businesses.


Partnerships Development

  • Identify suitable partnership leads in alignment with Company Group's business objectives in the region and assist in executing strategies and engagement plans for such partners e.g. conglomerates, government entities, etc.
  • Identify and assist to build capabilities necessary for regional business growth or for advancing issues as per external relations functions through engagement of partners e.g. thinktanks, consultancies, government and government-linked entities, etc.
  • Support corporate activities, events or other requirements as appropriate.


Job Requirements

  • Experience working in local government or government-linked entities will have an added advantage
  • Experience in strategy development, in particular with public-private partnerships.
  • Experience in research of public policies affecting innovation and business.
  • Experience in negotiations with other governments.
  • Experience in business development, particularly businesses involving innovation.
