Responsibilities
- The role provides a clear communication across both purchasing and planning communication
- across functional teams (for example: finance, RIC, Regional, Commercial) on top of daily purchasing
- activities
- Responding to purchase orders and invoicing queries
- Monitor material inventory level and ensure optimum stock holding level to meet production needs
- Monitor incoming receipts and share the shipment information to internal functional teams
- Work with internal functional teams and meet the operational needs
- Prompt update and follow through of all Job 7 claims / replacement request
- Analyze the most cost effective mode of transport and choice of freight vendor
- Ability to negotiate with vendors for on time and urgent deliveries, monitor vendor performance and
- following-up on vendor’s deliverables.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules for follow up
- Self-driven, resourceful, motivated and possess the initiative to work in a team
- Update and improve procurement policies and workflows to comply with regulatory, safety (risk
- assessment) and quality requirements
- Generate weekly reports on purchasing activities and inventory listing (Job 7 and PR tracker) and power
- point presentations when required
- Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure cashflow is in-line with project through timely
- purchase (update vendor payment terms and vendor address timely)
- Facilitate end-to-end procurement process from Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order issuance and
- Responding to purchase orders and invoicing queries
- Clarify product specifications, cost estimation and project logistics
- Provide logistics supporting role such as insurance, taxation, packing, courier and shipping needs.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Purchasing / Supply Chain / Business Management field
- Basic understanding of production scheduling and bulk vessel shipments
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in Procurement
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as a team with minimum supervision
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and SAP MM module is highly desirable
- Able to remain focused and work efficiently under pressure when handling multiple tasks
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and problem- solving skill in an ambiguous and dynamic
- environment, including when implement new process or projects.
- A persistent attention to detail and possesses Can-Do attitude
- Strong sense of urgency to resolve issues (internally between departments – finance, production, customer service, warehouse and 3rd party vendors)
