The Opportunity
- Adecco is partnering our client, one of the world's largest financial services organizations
- We are looking for a Compliance Officer
- The role will start out as a contract
- Candidates who are immediately available/ able to start work within short notice will be preferred
The Talent
- 5 years of regulatory compliance experience
- Have good working knowledge of regulations (ie. Banking Act, SFA, FAA)
- Have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Must be analytical and have a good eye for detail.
- Possess strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Able to work both as a team player as well as independently
Job Description
- Assist in identify regulatory compliance risks and performing compliance risk assessments
- Monitor regulatory change developments and potential impact of regulatory change on the Markets and Securities Services Business in Singapore, including performing gap analysis and providing compliance advisory to stakeholders
- Perform and support conduct risk assessments
- Assist in providing training to create compliance awareness including on thematic issues
- Reviews and assist in carrying out the effective deployment of the Regulatory Compliance Monitoring Plan
- Provide compliance advise and risk steward on compliance and CA risk related matters
- Review new product approvals and any new business initiatives by team
- Assist to maintain regulatory relationships
- Assist with changes in Global Regulatory Compliance Standards and Policies.
- Resolve any/all identified issues promptly, and escalate concerns to Head of department
- Maintain and observe all bank control standards and implement and observe the Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
- Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimise the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.
