The Company
Our client is a leader in the high technology manufacturing and consumer goods industry with an established presence across US, Europe and Asia. As they continue their expansion plans globally, they are seeking a Global Head of Product Costing to join their dynamic workforce.
The Role
Reporting to the Global Finance Director, you will lead a team and oversee the transformation of the existing cost framework to a global product costing structure across Europe and Asia. You will be responsible for the product costing across all categories, from project initiation to life cost management, with a focus on increasing efficiency and driving down costs. This will include managing the entire product life cycle and implementing the product cost evaluation in the product development cycle, evaluating multiple design alternatives, monitoring of product cost throughout the product development cycle, evaluating multiple manufacturing and tolling alternatives for lowest cost, validating supplier quotes, price analysis of commodity groups, management of Price Product Variance, setting of annual budget for all finished goods and accessories as well as evaluating process of cost agreement with contract manufacturers.
This is a highly visible role within the organization and you will be working with key stakeholders across Procurement, Product Engineering as well as Manufacturing with the capacity to influence and drive the product development process and ongoing and future capital investments.
Your Profile
As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in product costing at the APAC or global capacity, ideally within a premium consumer or high technology manufacturing business. You will possess proven leadership skills and track record in working with senior stakeholders across engineering and operations.
