- Participate in the master production schedule and raw material planning.
- Execute the material ordering and planning to meet the master schedule.
- Responsible for management of inventory, maintain and monitor the desired inventory levels.

- Support cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
- Responsible in the receipt of purchased materials and services, keep detailed records of purchase and stocks.
- Ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products.
- Manage requisition backlog and work towards release of POs on time to suppliers.
- Maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis.
- Work closely with selected approved vendor (both internal & external vendors) to meet criteria such as pricing, quantity, quality and delivery date.
- Conduct routine suppliers’ business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance.
- Negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options.
- Cost management to identify areas of potential cost reduction and analyse the impact of pricing changes for goods and services.
- Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance.
- Resolve and coordinate any operational day to day issues with the suppliers, requests, buyers.
- Drive compliance in the work area in line with GDP, GMP and Quality requirements.
- Support for business initiatives as required, dealing with changes to work methods and processes in a positive manner, and striving to meet business goals and objectives.
- Any other responsibilities as requested in support of departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum a degree in any business discipline with at least 2 years of purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferably candidate with ERP knowledge.
- Good analytical thinking and the desire to solve problems.
- Good organizational skills.
- Proactive and detail oriented.
