Position Description
The Operations Analyst will be responsible for the operation support for China Connect / Hong Kong market (or any other Self-Clearing market in Asia) for Cash Equity business. Functions include settlement and custody functions as a self-clearing broker in this market, as well as client services of Institutional Clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality post execution support to Institutional Clients from trade settlement, fail management.
- Ensure timely settlement with Exchange and Clients.
- Ensure funding sufficiency for trade settlements.
- Managing settlement fails with Exchange and Clients
- Follow ups on post-settlement exceptions and reconciliations.
- Adhering to control procedures, identifying gaps and ensuring controls are implemented to close those gaps.
- Stock borrow/return support
Key Requirements
- The successful candidate will ideally have settlements experience in cash equity products. Experience in Hong Kong / China Connect will be advantageous
- Ability to work under time pressure due to the short settlement window of this market
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications. Knowledge of VBA will be advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organization skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Public holiday coverage and extend working hours may be required
