Internet & technology sector continues to see significant growth. With a population of 600 million plus consumers, growing internet connectivity, broad penetration of smart phones, a young and tech savvy population and expanding GDP and purchasing power. Last year alone, 40 million people came online for the 1st time in our region, bringing the total number of internet users in the region to 400 million.

Social & strategic growth focuses on scalable growth for Lazada, building the bridge between social media, strategic partnership & also building intuitive and viral mechanisms/products that makes e-commerce intuitive. Our mandate is to enable user engagement, new user activation & scalable conversions. It is a mix of innovation, social commerce & creative customer strategy that drive scalable adoption across Southeast Asia.

The role

As regional strategic growth & operations lead, you will be focused on creating innovative mechanisms/business models, collaborating with large strategic partners on go to market and building new products/offerings to drive viral engagement, promotion, adoption & conversion. Scope will also include working across 6 Lazada markets to ensure operations planning, execution & optimization.

Innovation: Conceive and optimize engaging product mechanisms & business models, collaborate with partners on innovative go to market models, drive/build/influence user behavior towards social & e-commerce

New business models: No limit to imagination, ability to create, test & launch innovative & creative business & partnership models

Execution: Work closely with Lazada country teams, cross functional stakeholders & external partners to create, plan, launch, optimize initiatives

Synergy creation: Ability to see win win opportunity with external partners, internal stakeholders to create win win & synergistic value

Success of the team will be measured based on successful outcomes for virality, adoption engagement and conversion. The key is to develop intuitive mechanisms to build repeatable and scalable engagements that is self-sustaining ecosystem.

Reports into Regional Head of Social & Strategic Growth

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology, product management, management consulting, or growth functions

Strong passion for consumer behavior, Data driven, innovative & scalability driven

Enjoys independent thinking with strong sense of ownership and tenacity to develop ideas and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment

Strong analytical skills, proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint, SQL

Fluency in Mandarin an advantage, but not essential
