The backend segments enable the development of comprehensive innovation across the entire value chain: starting with chip manufacturing, to wafer testing, preassembly, package development and development of new materials. The backend cluster combines the competencies for planning, productivity, innovation and quality, assembly and testing.In your new role you will:

  • Responsible for operational decisions in the project, and for driving the major milestone decisions at the project approval body
  • Work closely with cross functional project teams from various locations, to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions
  • Uses project management tools and methods to structure projects, to control progress, to manage risks, and to manage changes
  • Liaisons with internal partners across various functions and regions, e. g. from business division, operations, IT, R&D, etc.
  • Manages external partners in the project, specifically sub-contractors, and suppliers of equipment and materials
  • Delivers project success in timely manner, with transparency in project status and progress, as foundation of a trusted partnership with project customers and stakeholders

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Master's / Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronic Engineering / Material Science with more than 6 years of relevant industry experience, and ideally with Semiconductor Test Technology exposure
  • In-depth knowledge in Project Management, with more than 4 years experience leading cross-functional projects of significant complexity in international environment, and preferably with IPMA certification
  • Technical knowledge and experience with electronic products and processes along product life circle; experience with electronics industry manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to solve complex problems via shaping open mind-set and cooperation in heterogeneous teams; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Strong interpersonal communication and reasoning skills for leading and working in matrix organization of international reach; ability to build long lasting relationships and trusted partnerships
  • Willing to travel regionally on needs basis
  • Proficiency in English is necessary for communication with stakeholders in the region
  • Able to commit to 24-month contract period
