Job Description

You will work alongside the Data Science team in the Planning Department (PD) to:-

 • develop, deploy and maintain data pipelines on Enterprise Data Platform (Big Data technologies)

   and PD on-premise or cloud-based servers to facilitate training of AI/ML models

 • deploy and maintain trained AI/ML models in production to score new data to deliver insights

   and recommendations on an on-going basis

 • curate new data sets for common use by the Data Analytics community in PSA Singapore Terminals

 • explore and source new data sets to address emerging business use case needs

Requirements:

 • Possess a good Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; a Specialization

   in Data Analytics will be advantageous

 • Good grasp of software engineering principles such as requirements gathering, analysis and

   design including documentation standards, and agile development methods

 • Able to develop data applications including integration with external ICT systems, build APIs

   and web applications; those with 1-2 years of related work experience will be preferred

 • Proficient in processing large data sets using programming tools such as SQL and Python (Pandas,

   Numpy etc.) and experienced in calling pre-built ML models for scoring using TensorFlow etc.

 • Knowledge/prior experience of working on Big Data platforms such as Hadoop or using Spark will

   be an added advantage

 • Numerate and able to make logical deductions using numbers and comfortable in using MS Excel

   to explore, analyse and visualise patterns in data sets

 • Experience in visualization tools such as Power BI will be preferred
